Pirouttes in the Helsinki Ice Park
Helsinki Ice Park is a perfect outdoor skating rink for people of all ages – complete with a café, equipment rental service and a stage for live music and other entertainment. It is easily accessible in its urban milieu next to the central railway station.
You are welcome to enjoy skating on your own or with your family, work mates or friends – no matter if you are just taking your first steps on skates or already mastering fine pirouettes on ice.
Daily programme
The Ice Park offers its visitors entertaining and instructive programs every day including regular skating lessons by licensed instructors. The skating school for children is open on weekdays at 5–6pm and for adults every Tuesday at 6–7pm. On Wednesdays lessons on Icebic – a brisk form of aerobic exercise on skates – are organised by a Helsinki skating club. The skating experience is accompanied by classical music on Wednesdays, by jazz music on Thursdays and by various DJ’s on Party Fridays (6–10pm).
The popular Ice Clubs on Saturday evenings (8–10pm) bring top Helsinki artists or bands to the stage.
