Museums
Helsinki is the definitive culture town, studded with galleries and museums, full of theatre and music. Over 50 museums offer interesting and different exhibitions, where every art lover can easily find something to admire. Most museums host a small café of a museum shop. Observe that some of the museums are closed on Mondays.
On entering museums or sights show your Card to the ticket attendant, who writes down the number of your Card. Please note that some art museums may be closed between exhibitions. Opening hours on holidays
Most sights and museums are closed on the following holidays in 2010:New Year’s Day (1.1.), Epiphany (6.1.), Good Friday (2.4.), Easter Sunday (4.4.), May 1st (1.5) , Ascension Day (13.5.), Whitsuntide (23.5.), Midsummer Day (26.6.), Independence Day (6.12.), Christmas Eve (24.12.), and Christmas Day (25.12.).
